The Black Lamb in the South End was no accidental success, especially considering the same minds behind some of Boston’s most notable restaurants are behind the Black Lamb. The comfort- food inspired menu offers reimagined takes on classic dishes.
Whether you are there for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the Black Lamb offers tasty and diverse bites perfect for sharing or keeping for yourself. The menu pulls influence from regions all over the world; incorporating American, European and Middle Eastern flavors to transform a familiar dish into something entirely unique to the Black Lamb.
On my most recent visit, we stopped in for a quick bite and enjoyed the burrata and cherries, house made marinated Olives, homemade salt & vinegar chips, the cornbread with honey butter, and a bottle of the Troupis Rosé. Of these, we especially loved the homemade pesto that was featured in the burrata and cherries and the show-stealing cornbread with a perfect balance of sweet and savory packed into its soft, fluffy inside and crispy exterior. Although the olives were enjoyable, their marinade overpowered the freshness of the olive itself. All in all, a must try if you are looking for a quick and casual meal without sacrificing flavor and care in each dish.
